6. Judging Criteria

Shortlisted entries are scored by the judging panel against the weighted rubric below (total 100 points). Each of the three criteria is broken into sub-scores, marked separately and added together. The rubric, not community votes, determines the awards. Ties are broken by the higher Creativity & Originality score, then the higher Presentation & Showmanship score, then the higher Qwen Integration Depth score.

CriterionSub-criterionPointsWhat to look for
Creativity & OriginalityThe 'useless but works' factor, and the heaviest-weighted criterion. Rewards a novel, absurd premise and an unexpected solution, not polish for its own sake. Creativity 20 How inventive and unconventional the solution is.
Originality 15 How novel and unexpected the core idea is.
Functionality 15 The build works as intended, however pointless the goal.
Creativity & Originality subtotal 50
Presentation & ShowmanshipThe strength of the presentation: energy in delivery, a clear live demo, and controlled timing. Delivery 12 Energy and conviction behind the premise.
Demoability 10 How clearly the build is demonstrated live.
Timing 8 Pacing and flow of the presentation.
Presentation & Showmanship subtotal 30
Qwen Integration DepthHow functionally and centrally a Qwen model powers the build. A model doing trivial work scores lower than one core to the function. Functionality 10 How well the Qwen integration works and is demonstrated.
Centrality 10 How central the Qwen model is to the build.
Qwen Integration Depth subtotal 20
Total 100
